Tim Carpenter

Associate Pastor & Worship Leader

Pastor Tim has been with us at Sardis since January 2011. For 20 years, he worked in the schools as a high school band director. For much of that period he also served part-time as a music minister for two local churches, one of those being Sardis. During that time, he sensed God calling him to go into the ministry full-time.

After serving in full-time ministry for 10 and 1/2 years at two churches, First Baptist Church Indian Trail and Center Grove Baptist Church in Clemmons, Tim has returned to us to serve as Associate Pastor and Worship Leader. His passion for the Lord and for music is evident in the exciting worship style he has brought to Sardis, which consists of a blend of contemporary praise & worship and updated traditional hymns.

Tim holds a Bachelors degree from Appalachian State University and a Masters degree from the University of South Carolina, both in Music Education. He and his wife, Annette, have been married for almost 25 years and they have two children, Greg and Megan.
