Kenn Hucks

Senior Pastor

Pastor Kenn originally served as Senior Pastor at Sardis from 1994 to 2002. After leaving for 5 years, during which he served at Immanuel Baptist Church in Lebanon, Tennessee, God brought him back to Sardis in November 2007.

Kenn holds a Master of Divinity from Coastal Carolina University. As a man after God’s heart, Kenn has been serving faithfully in the ministry since 1982, where he began his journey as an interim pastor at First Baptist Church in Aynor, South Carolina. Over the past 29 years, Kenn has led churches in Arkansas, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. He has also spoken at revival services in 5 states.

Along with serving as Senior Pastor at several churches, Kenn has also been involved in other community ministry work. God has used Kenn to influence others for Christ outside of the church building by doing the following:

• Serving as a guest chaplain for the U.S. House of Representatives in

2007;

• Traveling on short term mission trips to Haiti, Honduras, Burkina

Faso/West Africa, and Ireland;

• Writing for Bible Express, a LifeWay publication;

• Holding several leadership positions in the Pee Dee Baptist Association;

• Serving as President of the Dillon Christian Ministers Association.

Kenn and Kim have been married for 31 years and they have three grown children: Josh, Jonathan, and Lydia.
